Saint Luke’s East-Lee’s Summit is embarking on a $68 million expansion to its hospital and campus to include 182,000 square feet of new construction and 58 new hospital beds (with shell space for 52 more). The expansion will add a fifth floor, a new building for patient care services, additional parking structures, and expanded Emergency Department and operating room capacity.

McCown Gordon Construction has been awarded the Surgery Center Expansion project and will be working with Trio Masonry for the masonry work. The expansion of the Surgery Department in Building F adds 16 beds.

Masonry work - 70,000 modular brick units as well as cast stone. Work is expected to start immediately with masonry starting in January and finishing in April 2012.
