Outreach: Materials developed to provide assistance for the Construction Industry.

• Construction Industry Safety and Health Outreach Program. OSHA Office of Training and Education, (1996, May). This program contains reference materials to assist instructors in providing training on construction industry safety and health topics to entry-level participants.
• Fall Protection - It's a Snap! and Overhead Power Lines. OSHA Region VII, (2000, March 17). An "Employer Information Kit" developed for use by construction employers or trainers to voluntarily comply with OSHA's fall protection standards and regulations related to electrocution hazards.
• Example Standard Summary cards. OSHA Directorate of Construction, (1999). These two examples are 5½ by 8½ cards each of which contains summary information about a specific construction standard.
• OSHA Technical Manual. OSHA Directorate of Technical Support, (1999, January). Two sections of this manual apply to Construction.
• Small Business Outreach Manual. Some of the information contained in this manual may be used for Construction.
• A Collection of Construction Related Reports from the NIOSH Internet site.
• Women in the Construction Workplace: Providing Equitable Safety and Health Protection. ACCSH Health and Safety of Women in Construction (HASWIC) Work Group. As increasing numbers of women enter the construction trades, concerns about their health and safety are growing. This report outlines the safety and health issues, presents data and anecdotal information that illustrate the problem, and provides recommendations to address these emerging issues.

• Multimedia Programs. Electronic videos and PowerPoint presentations addressing construction and other topics.

Training: Links to the OSHA Training and Education Institute, and electronic programmed learning tools.

• The OSHA Directorate of Training and Education offers courses relating to safety and health. Refer to the Catalog Search for additional information and to the Construction eTools listing. These web-based assistance tools (eTools) were developed to provide an overview with graphics of construction standards.
